Found Atlantis - Arcadia (2hr epic trance mix) 12-7-09 [Trance]

Hi all, its been a while since I last made a mix, well 2 odd years actually lol, been rather busy with life, moving out from my mums house and getting a mortgage with my fiancée Becky, working and all that. Anyway, this is how it went, I was ripping some of my old dance cds to itunes and stumbled upon some real oldskool tunes from back in the day and thought to myself, man these would sound brilliant in some sort of epic-blast-from-the-past trance mix. So for the last 2 weeks, I’ve been working on Arcadia, thinking about what trance once was, what it is now (I think its called electro now isn’t it?) and all the great things that’s happened since then. Some of the transitions are a bit off, but its been a really long time since I’ve done anything like this so please forgive! :)

I was kind of scared away of the title "epic trance mix".
But the tracklist doesn't look too shabby at all!
Some nice gems in there. And any mix with Man With No Name is worth a download in my opinion :D |

i was considering in place of man with no name - teleport, three drives - greece 2000 (man with no name remix) but teleport was an absolute diamond of a track which i heard oakenfold drop in his essential mix(?) years ago which basically sold to me when i was rippin them mix cds!
i am pleased that the auranauts are in there, them and man with no name totally define trance!

| I'm about half way through listening to your mix. One thing I like to throw out there to everyone is if you havn't heard of, or tried Harmonic Mixing in your sets, give it a try. Mixing tracks by key is by far the best thing that ever happened to my mixing. Good work on the mix thus far! :tongue3 |

haha! yeah back then the djs at the time didnt bother with harmonics, just whatever flowed with the mix! thats what gave it that extra kick in the mix! im drunken at the mo but it all sounds good to me! however the dubstep atm is going well with the mood atm :D |

i thought there was some inconsistancies with the flow of the mix but overall, i enjoyed putting it all together, from the early tuneage to some of the 'cheesier' later stuff e.g angelic and watergate - but they played an important role in my life at the tiem...ahh such happy times :) |
