Wow u have a lot of tracks in the works which is really great and looks like ur very motivated to produce dance ( trance ) music..
I have not produced tracks at all or even get close to having anything u have, and I know what I like
In the past I dabbled with reason and rebirth for s and giggles..
I have mainly listened to electronic music for as long as I can remember and put together few sets here and there..
I would share that a lot of your rifts and melodies are pretty good, and i think u have a solid structure just need to step up with your sound designs to make ur music more energetic and unique...example a track like old school DJ TIESTO INOCENTE REMIX or a track like HUMAN by DUMOND ect it depands how energetic and interesting grasping you want to get..

there is a level of testing and playing around with composition and there is a level above that where you begin to feel your style and bring that love of music to the public by designing unique sounds as maybe relying on some standard claps snares kicks ect ect it feels like i can hear some of those in your tracks......

just constructive criticism
KEEP ROCKING IT !

Its going towards that sort of overdone McProg feel, so I'd steer clear of the more overused bell/pluck type lead you have going there. Though the melody is good I feel like a slightly different progression would have fit much more and more "emotional" or something to that degree. I really liked the bassline and thought that with a little more definition or a little more power behind it could have a lot of potential! All in all keep working at it and if you need any technical help i can do my best to answer anything.

ohh and btw, heres my myspace

lol..i was tryin to give it that spacey but prog feel with the arksun type bell..as far as the bass i think just a little more compression (theres no sub at all under it either)..jus some cutoff
...my laptop got stolen in dominican rebublic with all my software/every tune i have ever made about 3 weeks ago,so i just started from scratch all over again...i had a load of presets i made myself too so im bummed about that...thanks for the feedback...diggin the quality of ya tuneage as well...some nice eq to make that bass stand out

Stuff like that is always painful, but let me say that just compression isn't going to give you the sound you are after. I found the best method with thick buzzy electro type basslines is eq + plus tube amp emulation software, plus layering two separate copies on top of the original, one high passed and the other low passed can give the bass an interesting effect at times. I'm also a fan of the of the free plugin series at http://www.kjaerhusaudio.com/ their compressor and limiter are awesome.

Oh and i really really dig the preview of souls connected you have up on your myspace. Quality stuff, let me know if you are signing or need a remix. Quite a cool track.

No, that's all very unnecessary work and software; compression, if done right, will get the job done. He's gotta pull the bass back a bit, it's a bit too in your face, a la Benassi "Satisfaction" which is obviously not what you're going for. I really really like this tune, just needs some tweaking, and a lot less tweaking than your previous samples you've asked me for feedback on.

Pull the bass a bit back. You can do this by literally just lowering its volume (and raising the low frequency so at least that remains), or use another kick (which you should do anyway regardless of the bassline). Another thing is, it sounds like you're using one sound for the bassline. You'd be surprised with how much work goes into making the bass of a track. I typically use 3, 4, sometimes 5 different sounds/synths to make one bassline, and I wouldn't be surprised if most trance producers use more.

So yeah, on the kick side of things, you definitely need a better kick with more energy to it. It sounds like a little "tap tap tap" on the speakers I'm listening to here. If you do something along the lines of Marcus Schossow, he's got some very strong, but not overdone, kicks. I think mine are usually a bit overdone by most standards, but hey, that's my style haha...

Also, I usually like a general slow progression. You should start those small background melodies with a low frequency which slowly builds until about the small breakdown after the 5 minute mark. Then what you do is leave that breakdown as it is, but add some more pads which slowly rise out of the background, moreso than the ones you have now. The first example I can think of is "Pearl" by Midtone, but there's probably way more, just can't think of it. You can hear it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sUV_xCJkyRU ... Check out the high-pitched pad that come out now and then after the 4:05. You can hear them really shine through after the 4:40 mark when the kick comes in.

That's all I got, keep it up and send it out when you're done!

PS: "Something I Remember" is a gooooood one. Emphasize the kick on that one and you got a sick tune on your hands. The bassline's where it needs to be on that one, so use it for reference. Welcome back to trance, no more minimal!
