a) I purchased some vinyls and was told they were OOS permanantly - so they gave me credit. I asked for a refund (because I paid for something that was listed in stock), and they said they couldn't give me a refund on my Visa, only CDJshop credit.

CDJShop:
"Unfortunately we are permanently out of stock in four vinyl cds;
joofts002V, anj-022, anj-073, anj-077
this means that I am obliged to give you a refund in terms of points."

Me:"Can I recieve a cash refund instead of points?"

CDJShop:
"Unfortunately this is not an option.
I have already refunded you with points kind regards,"

b) loyalty points = owned

c) flimsy cardboard sleeves + burned CDs with homemade looking labels.

d) 1 month shipping

What's the reason they shut down?

HI TRANCEADDICT! TONIGHT THE FIRST THREE PEOPLE TO EMAIL ME WITH THE CORRECT ANSWER CAN HAVE THEIR ARSE PRINTED ON AN ARMIN CD COVER.

sad indeed, but the cd business has been bad for years. 10 years earlier & they'd have made a killing

Do you think the dj cd industry is bad because people can simply buy the mp3s or waves and burn their own cds or that more people are using mp3 mixing software and eliminating the need for cds altogether?

precisely. Delivery on .wavs etc is instantaneous, just hit download and it's done. Obviously there's people looking for the physical thing and you can't blame them, but cost, waiting times etc make it less 'needy' esp now most people have mp3 players.

They had a pretty pointless business going on which was selling CD-R at double or triple the price of what it costs to get the same release on Beatport and burning it yourself.
