What program are you using now? I'm guessing you are trying to record into the laptop that is playing traktor?
I use audacity, and it works well for me, others have had mixed results, but check it out if you haven't.

sounds like you are getting the timecode signal coming through the audio, have you muted the monitor setting on the soundcard? what soundcard are you using for djdecks?

makes sense i have the Synchroscience conectiv by M audio (i just wrote the words that are on it dont know in what way you gotta put them)

although have arranged the recording to be through my motherboards soundcard.....lately actually im not getting a signal at all anymore, thing is im extremely noobie with all these line in settings . If it is the timecode signal, how can i stop it? and if it is muting ..how do i mute...god so embarrassed.

currently using Total Recorder, well or at least trying to/

thanks for the other programs, will check

.
i got the total recorder to record something that i play in lets say winamp, but it doesnt hear anything coming from Djdecks now >(

Software won't fix the noise problem. You're probably using a desktop that's not properly grounded. Try using a laptop on battery power.
