hi people,
i've got a noob question for you. i am making my music with vst so i didn't care about this but now i have to know how to connect it. soon i will have a virus ti snow and a little phatty 2, but i don't know how to connect them both. i searched for an audio interface like from m-audio fast track pro but they got only 1x1 midi so i can't connect both, right ? so do i need a mixer ? something with 2x2 midi ? i don't want to use them with usb...thx for help. |

| Yes, if you want to use them both at once and don't want to use USB, then you will need two MIDI outs on your interface. |

If you only want to use one of them as a MIDI-IN keyboard, then you can daisy-chain the two synths. Let's say you're using the TI snow as your master keyboard:
Computer's MIDI-OUT to Virus MIDI-IN
Virus MIDI-OUT to Computer's MIDI-IN
Virus MIDI-THRU to Phatty MIDI-IN
Then you set the two synths up so they're on different MIDI channels.
Of course, if you just want to use them to play MIDI, and you already have a master keyboard, connect your master keyboard to the Computer's MIDI-IN and leave the other synths daisy-chained as above (Virus THRU to Phatty IN). |
