Good thing or bad thing? He remixed "Little Less Conversation", which is featured in the Nike football ad with all the top players playing on a ship.
Its been number one for 2 weeks now.
Junkie XL shows that he isn't just an electronica maestro. It's got a breaks style to it.
Opinions? |

hmm.. the only thing I know about this guy is that he was produced Obsession along with Tiësto
So I got VERY surprised when I knew he was No.1 in UK charts with an Elvis remix. :D
I still have to hear it although I've seen the advert a lot of times I can't remember how it sounds :)
but I'm curious... Elvis vs. Obsession :p |

| has sorta a fatboy slim sound to it. taking a track that only graced the charts at it's first release and bring it now to #1. i like it, nothing outstanding though |

it is indeed fatboy slimish. i wouldn't be surprised to hear it become popular in the state within a few months....
i like it but i don't believe it's all that great |

| I got a Junkie XL album from 97' its nothing but old school breakbeats. but his remix of Ayu-Vogue is pretty sweet, its not like break style at all. |

Junkie XL is Tom Holkenborg. Junkie XL started in 1995 and debuted in 1997 with their album "Saturday Teenage Kick". It was a real band by then and their music was a mix of rock and big beats. The second Junkie XL album "Big Sounds Of The Drags", released in 1999, is more a dance-album with a 70's sound. Since June 2000 Junkie XL is only Tom Holkenborg, all the other bandmembers had already stopped. He then chose for the progressive-house style. He helped Sasha with producing his artist-album. In September 2002 a new Junkie XL-album is expected....
Go see this man live, 'cause he is really WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! |

Junkie XL's first 2 albums are ones of the best albums ever made...
This remix is nothing like what he used to be... there energy just isn't there anymore...
Yet - it's not a bad track. |

I didn't realy really like the song but if it's number one in Uk then there must be something interesting...or cool in it.
That's what I think. |

| I must say that I like this one. It's catchy, has some good guitar melodies, and above all:it's funky.Very funky. It has pop appeal like it should have when we're talking about Elvis, but it at same time retains the oldschool Junkie XL-sound.A well done remix, and Junkie XL really deserves the attention he's getting now, when you think about his contribution to dance music in general. |
