Here is what I don't get - if you could give two s and you believe most people here feel the same way - then why are you guys still commenting on it and why was it even posted here. Its not like this is even being promoted to you guys anyway. It is only here because Demoted wanted to make fun of it. Its not like anyone is asking you to go.

Yeah, notice I said candy ravers. This party is about candy ravers.

Yup, I noticed. Some people are lumping all ravers together and others are not. I wasn't sure which you meant so I clarified my statement as well.

If I were to guess, this party is about candy ravers simply because that is all some people think exist(ed) here in the south. Thats where more education needs to come into play as well.

Raving is serious ing business.

i hate to say it, but back in the late 90's and early 2000's, i had the opportunity to go to some wicked ass parties around the central texas area. i would be rolling my ass off, DANCING my ass off, and just feeling it! i never was the type to sit around in a circle and caress the person in front of me. but man, i have some fond memories of being in the center of the dance floor with all hell breaking loose (in a good way). ah , those days are long gone...

but that got me into edm in a big way. or i should say, that edm had a profound impact on my life... yes, as i stopped rolling, and i stopped going to warehouse parties, i clung onto edm as if it were my lifeblood. and to this day, edm is my thing. I LOVE EDM.

so, if the kiddies want to do their thing then let them. i mean it seems kind of silly to all of us, but it's been happening since the beginning. and i mean like the underground parties in europe and how the underground scene was born and there were renegade parties, and how eventually it all started to become mainstream. i wouldn't go to this event because it does seem too inviting to the young crowd, and it does have a manipulated manufactured energy to it. but if i knew of a party like some of the ones i had attended way back was going down, i'd be there, hopefully middle of the dance floor.

The DC/ Baltimore house music/ techno scene had everything to do with ravers in the mid-90's. Not so much candy ravers - but definitely ravers. I didn't really see many candy kids until moving to the ATL. Up north it was mosltly big pants, hoodies, baggy shirts (Polo, Hillfiger, or Nautica) and ball caps.
yes they were wigger ravers. Im from baltimore. I was there, went to bassrush and all that . Wigger ravers are in the same family as the candy kids.

Bassrush was a series, but I think the first one was in '95, maybe '94. According to your Myspace page provided courtesy of your profile you are 28. The promoter for Bassrush was deported sometime in the late 90's (although he may have made it back), so we will assume you went to one in '96 - or 13 years ago. 28-13 is 15. So, is it correct you were going to raves when you were 15 or is my math off?

It was a chilly friday evening in baltimore when young lostvission attended his first bassrush. He had come down with a cold before the event, and was still teething. His mother sent him off with some vicks vapo rub and a new pacifier.

The rest is history.

Lostvission is a pioneer.

i was going when i was 15. Most of those parties were filled with kids under 18. No one gave much of a . Yes, i know bassrush was a series. I spent a good while as a party head like most of that crowd. I really got into the love of this music later around 20 or 21. Ive been to plenty of raves and although fun at some points...its not what i prefer. I don't do drugs anymore and prefer for the clubs i go to to not be fueled by primarily drugged out zombies. The i saw back then lol...that scene is absurd.
