lol, jay. i don't agree with the car comparison. unless the car is 200 dollar beater and then i wouldn't care. also a hookah doesn't take you places and you can't rely on it for your job.
but you are entitled to your own opinion and makes no difference to me.
and i really wanna touch your "stuff". |

the argument here should have nothing to do with the value ($60 vase or $20,000 car) but its the concept. if you were told specifically not to touch something but you decided not to listen and you broke it then there should be consequences.
if you walked in to a store and there was something on display, regardless of value, and there was a sign next to it that said 'please do not touch' and you touched it and broke it... you would think it is unfair for the store owner to make you pay for it and not allow you back in his store? |

I think this is getting a bit out of control.
Jay is upset because he asked Liam not pick it up since this happens quite often with novice people trying to handle a hookah and Jay knew from experience.
Exact same thing happen to me. I ordered a custom made hookah straight from Lebanon and we were going to a friends cottage one summer and I asked my friend to hold it and he dropped it. The Vase broke and I was really upset. However, I had asked him to hold it and I should have told him not to hold it by the stem. Therefore, I can't really get mad. Now if he had picked it up and dropped it without my knowledge then I would have been pissed.
Another reason why Jay is upset is becase when Liam offered to pay for it he asked Jay how much it was. Jay replied $60-80 (or something like that) and Liam responded "I'll give you $40 bucks", it sounded like he was trying to bargain it.
Nonetheless, happens, that's part of life and lesson learned.
I got in after the 2nd or 3rd PPB because the sound system was ed. Why? I touched something I shouldn't have because there was no sound coming out of the speakers. End Result, cost $500 bucks to re-calibrate everything, right before a big event as the sound was f****. |

I dont think so because the store owner has no emotional connection with the 'breaker'. If the 'breaker' and the store owner were good friends and the store owner banned the 'breaker' from the store than he would be real prick. Otherwise he is doing everything he can to protect his business.
I guess I just can see Jays point. If they arent really friends outside of TA (which I have no clue if they are or not) than I see why banning him is an suitable option for Jay.
It's Jay's decision. It's his night and his loss. Its unfortunate that it has had to lead to this kind of drama but like I said, it's a lesson learned. |

| i think its funny how only the people that own hookahs understand my position which just goes to show that to the outside world it is just a piece of glass but to a real hookah smoker it means much more. |
