Ya, I wouldn't recommend drinking tap. I remember just putting it in my mouth just to wash my mouth out and it felt like salt water!

Ibiza is a tad like Vegas, after a couple days/night you want to kill yourself! So you must pace yourself properly. I was there for a week. Partied hard the first day/night so needed a night off. Then I was able to do another 3 nights in a row and take another night off. By then I had enough.

But I really miss the island now. That ibiza-spotlight website is a great website to see the upcoming lineups. Almost everywhere in the streets sell pre-sale though.

As stated, drinking @ the club can be VERY expensive! 15 Euros for a can of Red Bull @ Amnesia...thats like $22 US dollars!

I prob won't make it this season, but hopefully next season. Winter Music Conference is sorta like 3 months of Ibiza stuffed into one week in Miami if you wanna good feel for what your are getting into. (minus the Europeans and beaches where almost every female is topless)

sorry to tellu guys but trance is NOT what ibiza is all about, there are still the tremendous parties like cream, armada, and tiesto, but overall ibiza is all about house music and german techno, as well as chill-out and deep house during the day

I was there a couple weeks ago and paid 18 euros per Red bull and vodka...about $25 a drink! YIKES!

Can you do bottle service at all the clubs? It sounds like the way to go for $25 drinks.

Yep, you can definitely do bottle service @ all the big clubs.

this is the reason why every club night has a PRE-party..... so that you can PREGAME and listen to the dj that's spinning that night for FREE! while sipping on a some great sangria as you watch the sunset

i do agree that ibiza is a place that everyone EDM fan should visit. i went last summer and had a wonderful time. we stayed in a villa which was key, because split between 8 people, it was very affordable. plus it was big, private, had a pool, kitchen, etc. when you're there for 8 days, you don't want to be in a cramped hotel and eating out all the time.

there is lots of mainstream crap music over there, but what would one expect? it's all about the side rooms and the villa parties. my favorite set of the whole trip was andy cato in the love box @ eden. pete tong and fred faulke were dropping bombs in the lazer-dripped main room, but the real party was in the side room. house music heaven.

major downside is the new curfew that prohibits loud public music between 6:30am - 4:30pm. i had dreams (pre-ibiza) of laying on the beach every day listening to Balearic house, watching the sun set... yet it never happened once. since i was new to the island and without connections, it put a big damper on my ability to experience one of the most charming aspects of ibiza. next time i go back, i'm following PvDObsession to those private parties where the sound curfews have no jurisdiction. one thing is for sure... there is plenty of vacationing, exploring, boating, beaching, etc that can be done if you're with people who aren't total beat-heads. it will likely save you some $$ if you're not paying all of those covers.

anyway, [starsky]do it[/starsky]

True. I got lucky. Stayed with a group of pot-heads from South Illinois. It was out 10 day break from the summer abroad in Europe. One of the guys had a a time-share in Santa Eulalia. Great area for clean beaches and small city like life.
