the sprite commercials that are aired in america have that little ghetto black doll that yells in ebonics. i always wondered why it was specifically geared towards that crowd and then i waitressed for a bit in my early 20s and i noticed that all of my black customers drank sprite without fail, every time. marketing seems to work. |

coca-cola sponsored a lot of hip-hop and basketball events just a few years back, plus they now pay for a lebron james sponsorship. it's a very smart example of targeted marketing

She did? Oh, I must've completely missed her posts about that.
Anyway, I once went to the US and worked as a waiter for a while. I was stunned by the fact that, whenever black people had something to drink, they drank sprite. Except for those that had some white blood in them. In that case, they always drank Sprite with Cappuccino. Always. |
