Isn't it funny how it's the pill? No one has ever named something the car or the phone. |
Actually, it makes sense. We're talking about a specific kind of pill here. Under normal circumstances, you take a pill. But, given this context, and the fact that you know the hearer knows you're talking about a contraceptive pill, you change the article.
For example, if I ask you "Did you answer the phone?~ or ~Did you wash the car?~, I believe you (should) know what I'm talking about. So, if there's no possible ambiguity in our conversation, I can refer to a car as the car. It's the same phenomenon. |

I dunno, something tells me that a 0.3 % risk of pregnancy is a far weaker argument for condom use than the risk of the girl forgetting/"forgetting" to take the pill (or STDs, for that matter). |

That's why when I was sexually active & on the pill we still used condoms. If you get pregnant on the pill while still using condoms, God hates you. Seriously.
Plus, I had no choice but to still use condoms because I had to take my pill at 6pm everyday and I had an alarm on my phone to remind me and it never went off  so I would end up taking it hours later. Stupid alarm. Does the pill make you emotional Sara? Or was it just me? Hahha. |

WE DON'T KNOW IF SHE'S PREGNANT FOR SURE YET. WAIT SOME MORE TIME.
If she's pregnant, we'll deal with it then. But for now: I DONT CARE. |
Sounds like you'll make a fantastic father if there is a kid on the way. |

I'm just sayin... I personally know several girls who take the pill every single day and got preggo.
Rose - it depends on the type of pill, really. When I was on generic I was all  :eyes: :nervous: :wtf: :gsmile: :toocool: :( all the time. Made me bonkers. I'm on Yaz now though, and it's fantastic! Has a lil' upper in it to make you constantly :gsmile: feeling haha.
Every body reacts differently to the pill... there should be other options for you to switch to, though. |

| Wow, I think yukii told me the same about Yaz. I know a bunch of girls on Yaz and they told me it's the best. If I ever decide to stop smoking and get on the pill again I think I'll ask my doctor if I can try Yaz. I was on some generic one and I was always crying or pissed off. ing terrible! |

| Your body is going to change over the years too - so don't be surprised if in a few years you have to switch again ;) |
