cragislist is pretty good, but www.westsiderentals.com is much, much better. you'll get many more results, and if you rent something with them you'll get a discount on cable tv/other bills that will even out the amount they charge. the site is worth the money by itself (no affiliation, just a satisfied customer) |

| are you looking to live on the westside? I spent quite some time there and would recommend just driving around and getgting the numbers off all the smaller units. All the ~1500/month units get snapped up pretty quickly around Santa Monica/UCLA area. The reason I got mine was that I would show up to meet the landlord with money in hand |

| There are plenty of way over priced condos that are empty in noho you can squat at. I know several people who have gone that route. Most are crack heads tho. |
