T Shirt Printing

Question:

I'm looking to get a couple of t-shirts printed (silk-screen printed I think). I can save the design on a disc or usb, and I bought my own t-shirts that fit me better than the horrific unisex sizes that they usually have at printing places. I used to always use this place in Guelph for t-shirt printing, but I'm pretty sure it's not a chain. I now need somewhere in Oakville/Mississauga to go that's reliable (I'd actually even do Toronto if need be, I'm there often enough anyways!). Any input on places any of you have gone/still go would be greatly appreciated! Somewhere that's not too overpriced is obviously preferred (i.e. NOT EmbroidMe, I don't want to have anything to do with this company for this and other personal reasons).

I had all my Dance2DaBeat stuff made at Bangon on yonge st .. its pricey though.. and if you go there make sure you bring the reciept or tags for the shirts you bought.. otherwise they wont print on them

^^^I would call and ask them before you count on this, b/c some of the employees say that you can't bring in your own shirt. It depends on who's working.

Try doing a search for "custom t-shirts" on TOTA too. I know there have been many threads like this before that may help.

there's a place south on yonge and bloor, its on the left side as you head south towards wellesley, they do vinyl printing, silk printing and you can bring in whatever shirt you want. I believe it will cost for the silk printing, about 30 bucks per shirt.

Mikey, Geoff, and I got some shirts printed here and we were REALLY impressed. We did the vinyl screening which cost about 25-30 bucks a shirt. THhey have nice shirts there (mens and womens), even american appearl (which will cost a bit more). You can bring your own shirt and they take $5 off the fee. We had a design that required a lot of detail and their machine cut it out PERFECTLY. Oh and they are FAST. The longest I ever had to wait was 15 minutes (Ive been there twice)

I use to go to a place called logo magik http://www.logomagik.com/ but after seeing the quality of comegetcustomized I will never go back. Plus they are slow - you need to give them at least a couple days.

Silk Screen is REALLY expensive. I have yet to find a place in the city who does it cheap because there is a HUGE set up fee... usually around $50... and then you have to pay for each shirt - the more colours the more expensive too. If you are making a bunch of shirts (a dozen or so) it may be worth it

Bang On is expensive but great if you are looking for letters. If you make a design they will put it on a 8x11 heat transfer... so if your design isnt rectangle it will probably look dumb.

They won't print on shirts you have brought in anymore. I asked why when I went in and they said it was under new management and that was one of the changes they made....

Ahh...I've found them to be increasingly expensive and not the best anymore. It's good if you like their designs, but I've heard of many other places that do custom printing better.

The best place I found was a little store near my apartment in Holland called "My cup of Tea" or something like that...best ever. I miss it :(
