and people still bitch? I can understand it raining too much (although it isn't) but the temperatures are more than acceptable. Not to mention that there's a garbage strike so the weather has actually been doing all you T.O residents a ing favour  |

We've had 3 horrible Summers in a row now.
There was a drought in 2007, being the driest summer in 50 years (which I'm sure most people actually enjoyed since it was hot and sunny from June 17 through to Sept 5)
Followed by the wettest summer in 70 years (it rained almost daily until August)
Now followed by the coolest summer in X years (which is actually, in AWESOME for us outdoor worker-types)
Don't worry guys, August and Sept will be our summer this year. |

Just came back from Vancouver for 4.5 days....
25+, not a single rain drop, cloudy on saturday morning until about 1pm and that's it!
Apparently it's been like that since MAY!! :disbelief
Who wants to move to Vancouver with me?? |

This summer is just fine. There is never need for it to be hotter than 25.. it's completely unnecessary.
A nice warm overcast day gets no complaints from me |

I don't know how people complain every season. Its too hot its too cold blah blah. If anyone remembers correctly last year was even worse than this year. It rained heavily and a lot more. There was no summer which had as many raindays as 2008.
This year is all about clouds. Sure its cloudy, doesn't let sunlight in so you can get the tan you want but at least you can be outside doing whatever. I'd rather have this cloudy weather and cooler nights than rain 3-4 days a week.
No one can do anything about the weather so just do what you can with. Rain is what really ruins summer plans.
By the way don't even bother looking at the weather network, they can't even predict the afternoon forecast. |

*Strongly* disagree! I'm not even content outside usually until it's at least 25+ oC.
Now when I was down in North Carolina in May/June, now THAT was perfect!
Every ing day, between 30-35 oC (hotter in actuality w/ the humidex considered) and sunny (at least in the Raleigh area, not so much in the Charlotte area).
I never really dropped below 25 oC at night.
Now THAT was perfect weather. I never once needed to wear more than a wifebeater (save when going out to restaurants, etc.) because of the temperature. Even at night! It was wonderful. :) |

I remember last summer being incredibly ty too, maybe tier, but this summer is still damn ty.
It's not so much the temperature - I love 20° - 25° C - it's all the ing rain. Can't go to the beach, can't go biking, can't really do any fun outdoor activities. We've had rain and in some cases thunderstorms what, 3 days a week on average since May?
Toronto's just got ty yo-yo weather in general. Winter blows for boarding and other winter sports because it always gets just warm enough to melt the snow and turn it to slush, then gets stupidly cold and freezes it into ice.
Apparently we will always find a reason to complain... but I don't. I'm happy with the climate in a lot of places. Toronto's not one of them. |
