| The last couple of times I played in a club or party, I've been extra sensitive to the loudness. According to this article, guys like Digweed and Middleton use them but I'm wondering how comfortable/easy is it to mix with them in? Do headphones fit okay over them? |

| They go inside your ear canal, so there's no issue with wearing your cans. |

This.
Just got mine back there but had to get one of them sent off to have a little tinkering around as it wasn't 100% right. If I'm paying that much money I'm going to make sure they're absolutely perfect.
You can mix perfectly with them, takes a little getting used to but there's no discomfort wearing them under your cans :)

| I have been thinking of getting these for a while. Do you need to get “fitted ” for them? Where is the best place to buy? |

Awesome. That's what I wanted to know. I would think (as long as they're comfy) you could mix better because you don't have to crank the booth up like crazy to hear over everything else.
I'm going to get mine at my ear doctor's. They make a custom mold to fit them. I think she said it was around $250 for the ear plugs and fitting and for an extra $50 for the different filters you can put on. It's a little pricey but not all that much more than a nice pair of headphones. I think (hope!) it will be worth it. |
