On AUGUST 1, FIVE WORLD-FAMOUS DJ/Producers will ascend to the DJ booth at Ibiza, and
the rest will be history. If you missed the last time this happened, do not make the same
mistake again, It has gone down in the annals as one of the craziest parties to ever take
place at Ibiza, and this time only promises to be MORE LEGENDARY.
STEVE AOKI, The Man With The Plan, returns to Ibiza on August 1. He's the man
who leads the label, Dim Mak. He is one of the hardest working people in the
entire industry. He is an animal. His last performance in DC's best main room got
so out of control that two of the club owners ran over to the DJ booth, panicked.
The music was temporarily shut down, and the crowed screamed until Steve
was let back on. Think I'm kidding? Ask someone who was there.
BLATTA & INESHA will be kicking off their North American 2009 tour with Ibiza
as well. These boys from Italy are part of the movement that has been
dropping bombs in the EDM world for the last few years. The word in the blog
world has these two continuing to blow up even bigger this year. Intense music
packaged with high energy DJ sets... these two are the perfect bunch to set
the tone for the night.
MATT NORDSTROM was one of the people responsible for kicking off the booth
madness that got the music shut down last time Aoki was in town. A pro
amongst pros, Matt is actually a Grammy Award nominee and one of the most
respected engineer/producers in the electronic dance music community. With
a massive arsenal of music acquired through his work, friends, and globe-
trotting lifestyle, you never know what bombs will be dropped. If you want to
know what everyone is going to be playing a year from now, pay attention.
ORLANDO VILLEGAS(aka, Dave Nada) was the chief suspect in Aoki's last performance
going overboard. Legend has it that at certain points of the night, he was swigging
from a bottle of gin which led to jumping, rambunctious behavior, yelling, threatening
to throw a chair into the crowd, and launching a champagne bucket of ice water
onto the revelers below the booth. A sick ass DJ, a sick ass producer, and world-
famous for his antics when he gets going full speed.
