Equipment Insurance

I am looking to insure my DJ equipment. I know that at home it is most likely insured under the home insurance. But I am interested to hear about insurance when the equipment leaves my house and I use it at a gig. Has anyone here ever dealt with such an issue, and if so any companies I can deal with? Thanks.
Moral Hazard
You're equipment may not actually be covered while at home if you use it for paying gigs... most home insurance policies exclude property used for business. That said, many will cover up to a specified amount for business property. Without seeing your wordings I can't tell you anything for certain but depending on what the coverage and exclusions are you could either need coverage for when they are at home or you could be covered when they are away from home... all depends on the wordings. If you're not being paid for your gigs then you'd probably be fine whether they be at home or away.

If you want; scan your policy and email it to me, I'll review the wordings and advise you better. PM me and I'll give you my email address.

even though the house itself has no insurance?

Can i insure specific items or would it not he worth i for the company to insure them.

you can purchase renters insurance which would only cover your contents.
