thats not my laptop. it's my dad's. it's kind of slow by today's measures but the build quality is top-notch. that has always fascinated me. i had an Asus a long time ago and the build quality was

I've had this laptop since early 2006 and it's getting a little slow but it still works just fine. You're right, it has an outstanding build quality.
I've gone through at least 2 batteries, tho, I leave it plugged in a lot, and usually installing a new operating system seems to drain it more. I ran a nice early build of Vista and it raped my battery, then moved to Fedora and it would immediately turn off, because my battery had 0 juice. :(
It'll have to do, I can't afford another one for a while, I don't graduate with my masters for another 2ish years. |
