Weather was sick, venue was sick, crowd was meh (lotsa whiteys that think they are tough ) I think the crowd related a lot more to what MO spun tho. LOVED the incorporation of the super mario theme! and the bangin intro to "i remember" I don't think it was worth the $55 that i payed, but i was already there so i went for it, and i was still pleased with the set.
Overall definitely enjoyed myself |
My only beef was that the first hour of Deadmau5's set was nothing but build-up after build-up. Isn't that what opening DJs are for? By the time he got into the meat of his set, the crowd ACTUALLY looked bored. |

cutting fab off in the middle of a track and not letting him finish his closing set properly just to have the crowd boo at him was NOT NICE. |
Yah that wasn't right at all....He wasnt even like 15 mins in either |

What an amazing night.
The vibes and the venue were super sick. Nice summery chills, toned-down loudness so you can convo on the outside, burning fire of a party to bust your heart out on the inside. I danced so ing hard at one point I thought I was going eat my tounge. Props to Deadmau5 for having a blast on his set, running around being as much as an animal as the rest of us.
Here's to all my fellow creatures of the jungle! So glad I got to the chance to experience this.
PS: Wasaga, get some ing cabs in your city will you!! (2hrs waiting after the show and no pickup.... not cool) |

There was some serious confusion around me on alot of peoples faces when the boring slow beats were introduced...
p.s. mark oliver was dropping some nice classics, + good times and kidsos :P |

In retrospect it was the "Legend of Zelda theme" not the "super mario theme" that he played :)
that made my childhood.. |

LOL Jamie, how much did you think it was going to cost? Its a Deadmau5 party, in Wasaga beach, on the long weekend.... |
30 bones maybe? Guess i didnt realize how massive deadmau5 still was (is).
And if ever partying at the beach im used to usually never having to pay cover at venues there...
Its obvi been too long since i ventured to the beach on a long weekend to party... prolly since high school...
Fair point, Hils. (Danielle was just as shocked and outraged as me though hehehe ;)) |
