So far, the only time I can listen to Goa is when I am trying to fall asleep.

Believe it or not, some people pay attention to the all the intricacies of Goa. I don't see many, Goa is usually just boring, flowing hypnotic melodies: good for falling asleep. Ambient is even better for that, because in case anybody is paying attention to the sounds in Ambient, sometimes it can be pretty trippy too.

I shouldn't really complain tho, my genre of choice is psytrance, a genre which originated from Goa. I need to learn how to like it... maybe I will never understand since I never listened to it 5 years ago.

Try increasing the volume :)

With a low volume I use goa/psy to fall asleep, with higher volume and/or when drunk... deffo not falling asleep ;)

You should feel bad for making idiotic threads.

Fantastic. There are quite a few Goa tracks out there similar to this that are quite fascinating and awesome to listen to. Great suggestion, I will keep looking for more of these! :)
