Rann, The picture above is my set up.

2 x 1210 MK3D
Xone 92
MBP
TSP
Faderfox DX2
Senn HD25

As you can see Ryan I've already got a midi controller so I'm all set in that department. :)

Will be interesting to see what Pioneer bring out.

Your problem is you just can't let go of old .

i haven't used my techs in months, i play pretty much solely on cd now

they're nice to have in the event you feel like jamming, although i rarely even use my home setup anymore because i play out at least 3 days a week (sometimes more), hence me getting the basic 200's and a small bare bones denon dn-x100 mixer along with my techs

i'll be switching to a DVS though, and when i do i'll be operating it using cdjs

Cash it all in for a wad of dildos and a scrap of paper with a phone number on it.

c'mon do it

SCS.3D is quite a nice midi controller. What I remember from last time I used it (~2 months ago) was that beatmatching using the pitch fader was really difficult. It does support 'acceleration' to some point, meaning that the faster you swipe your finger the larger the change is, and you slide slowly for fine tuning.

So what's the problem? The problem is that the pitch fader has only a limited range, which is much less than what TSP has on the deck pitch fader. It's possible to map it so it directly maps to the limits in TSP, but then the resolution is much to large to accurately beatmatch. The solution I ended up using was to switch it to deck 3/4 (which I didn't use) and 'scroll' the pitch fader all the way back up so it thinks it's at the upper limit, then switch back to the active deck to adjust it more.

Since all the actions are interpreted in software, this behavior should be easy to fix. Admittedly, I didn't spend too much time setting up the demo, but I couldn't find an easy way to work around this problem. I think it's directly related to the layout that I chose, but using the generic layout would have prevented those helpful positional LEDs from working.

Keep the techs, I have come close to selling mine and each time it was just too much to bear.

And everyone, and I mean absolutely everyone who I know that has sold them has regreted it. No exceptions. Even if they just switched to another format, they still regretted it.

Nothing quite comes close to that feeling.

Cheers
