currently watching monster and finished elfen lied a month or so ago. also watched a mecha anime (forget its name), which wasn't too bad. still haven't found the title that made me really take notice though (apart from robotech and astro of course!)
did deathnote finish yet? i like starting out on a new anime when i know its all available and isn't neighbours or home and away ;)
deathnote has been on my watch list for a while. |

Elfen Lied was pretty good actually.
I've got 30 eps or something of Deathnote, then there are a few movies. I haven't been following it enough though.
On a similar geek level, I've started watching the X-files from the start. Unfortunately the science in it isn't over my head like it was in the 90's :( |

hahahaha. i dont think anyone ever watched x-files for its robust scientific contribution :p if you have that kind of time you really should be watching battlestar instead ;) |

Watching Ouran Host High School Club atm, absolutely juvenile but hilarious at the same time.
Season 2 of Haruhi Suzimiya isn't living up to the first season so far IMO.
The new Studio Ghibli movie, Ponyo on the Cliff, isn't too bad. But Ghibli movies have been the same thing for years now.
Finished Dennou Coil a few months back since DB started subbing it and thought it would be alright, turned out to have a pretty weak storyline but good artwork.
Also watching Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai right now and it's actually promising! |

| I've recently taken a shine to AirGear, I like the whole laid back feeling in it. It's not crazy over the top but it still has some tense moments. |

Can't go wrong with 80's anime.
Always been a big fan of the Macross series: I highly recommend ZERO, PLUS and Frontier (Macross 2 and 7 were ).
Macross Frontier was quite a suprise, had a slow start but got better as the series progressed.
Suprised no one mentioned Bleach - good fun action anime.
Higashi no Eden (Eden of the East) is apparently THE series to watch at the moment (with over 10 groups fansubbing it) ...
Big fan of the MADHOUSE production studio - love their character designs [esp. collabs. with CLAMP]. And it seems that they are doing a collab. with Marvel Comics on 2 anime styled movies: Iron Man and Wolverine.
