in light of the(witch genre is hardiest to produce thread)i would like to ask the question "witch sounds a hardiest to make?"

i will go for the plucky leads you often hear in prog trance/house.
they just sound so nice and defo a bit tricky.

so over to you people.

For me, definitely the bass sounds. It´s always hard for me to make decent ones that fit
the character of the track, and make it sit properly in the mix. Other than that: the main "hook"
lead should be somehow memorable, and special - and sound great. I fail at this usually ;)

Tectro seems like it would be the hardiest, what with all the lead pads.

lol,i agree the bass and kick placement is very tricky to get right as it sets the hole staple of the track.and i have found the best trick to overcome it is using shapes like in wave shaper and finding the sweet spot with eq works well.

It's a new genre yet to be developed: techy electro. You heard it here first.

lol @ "hardiest" :p

i used to say basslines, but i've been producing some lately that i am very pleased with. so i suppose i have the hardest time making nice, full sounding pads without it overpowering/muddying up the mix, but still retaining enough headroom so the mix sounds full.

I'm starting to think that he may have spelled his name incorrectly, lol.
