why dont people get this concept? |
i need to reapply every hour especially after sweating and dancing. why don't people get that concept?
but the people running the boat will let you bring the sunscreen but keep it in the captain's room and if you need to apply they will just let you go in there. |

let's see what Dave says.. I think it would reasonable if they just bring some to have on a boat so people can re-apply
otherwise just get some waterproof one - if it's resistant to water, you should be fine sweating or not |

I need to reapply every hour or 2. It would be like I did not have any on at all if I stay in the sun for 2 or more hours with only one application.
I wish I could be on this boat to celebrate Katy and Rachel and ending Cancer. |

If I'm paying 50 bucks to go on a boat cruise, I'm not going to sit inside - the expectation is that you can either bring sunscreen, or it will be made available. It's going to be a big joke if a outdoor, mid-summer fundraiser for cancer does not permit sunscreeen. |

I'm tres excited for this!!!! especially after listening to Mistress B's new mixes. Glad she is passed the super minimal sound
As for the sunscreen debate::: if you can bring it on, but it just has to be left in the captain's room, isn't that a fair compromise??? |

Not really. It's sunscreen: people should be allowed to bring it on and keep it on them. If they make the person put it on before they get on the boat, I don't see what the problem is.
I'm not criticizing this cruise specifically. I know it's not under the control of the promoters. It's mainly a criticism of the River Gambler. The no sunscreen rule is not only ridiculous, but it is also negligent. I would like to see what would happen if someone got severely burnt on one of the River Gambler cruises...
| quote: | | Sunscreens should be applied in the morning and reapplied after swimming or perspiring heavily. Remember, waterproof sunscreen begins losing effectiveness after 80 minutes in the water, so reapply sunscreen before this time, especially if you have towel-dried for maximum protection. |
