Correct me if I'm wrong but I swear that was the most bonkers I've seen CZ since New Years Day 2008!
It sucked that I could only make it out for only a few of the sets but still had a brilliant time. The TA turnout made the party infinitely better as always.. you guys are awesome! |

yeah, I think that's fair to say... tho a few weeks ago it was pretty mental, the nights have really been insane again...

What a day/night! Zone then Footwork...haha I went to sleep with my bracelet on in case I wanted to come back in the morning to meet up with everyone again.
Jon's set was sick...
I missed the Junkies, such a nice day on the patio and spent time with great people upstairs.

Jon Jon's set was wiiicked. Im still have his set in my head. So glad I finally got to see him at zone.
Carlo Lio tore the place apart. Sick vibe for his set.
The evening/early night was rather tame.
When I went back in the early morning it was a complete zoo - but in a good way.
I typically dont enjoy Deko ze but the last hour of his set was great. It got me dancing hard in no time.
Mark Olivers set... Now I see why he's a 'Toronto Legend.' LOVED IT. He has truly earned my respect after that.
So good to see so many friendly face. Definitely contributed to the magic of the party.

zone was amazing although the music wasn't as good as I expected it to be for a long weekend party. friends, side missions, shenanigans and patio weather made it one of the most enjoyable experiences there for me though
i love how each zone experience can be different in some way - leading you on different explorations, meeting cool new/sketchy people...turning into monkeys
carlo lio was GREAAAAAAAAAAT, definately picked it up in the last 2 hours (first 2 hours were still amazing) and ripped us apart. he dropped 2 ing retarded tracks, both times i asked him which songs they were and 1 was his new unreleased track and the other one was also unreleased and he dropped it for the first time...imo hes so much better than roaches together
dekoze was all over the place. had high expectations for him since his INSANE tribal set at FW for jaxx houze 2 weeks ago so we were kinda dissapointed. he dropped some really good tracks here and there but for the most part i couldnt deal with all the electro and couldnt get really into it since the flow wasnt there. it was a good time to soak in patio sketch or cause shenanigans elsewhere...
went to 7-11, saw santa clause picking up cig butts off the streets, turned into a chimpanzee and started jumping and climbing trees (came back to cz with leaves and a branch sticking out of my shirt), found a bathtub on the street and carried it to a brighter locations to have a "bathtub photo shoot", went to the car to refresh and recharge. came back at 4am and dekoze had the place going crazy, that's the best hour of his set, thats the zone vibe i was missing :)
MO came on and ruined it right away for us, played too groovy and too slow, kinda killed the vibe so we left at 6am and jammed till the evening! |
