North Korean leader Kim Jong Il has pardoned two American journalists and ordered their release during a visit by former U.S. President Bill Clinton, according to the Associated Press citing state media reports. Euna Lee and Laura Ling, journalists for San Francisco-based Current TV, were arrested on the North Korea border with China on March 17 while filming a report about refugees.

He probably got his pole polished by some hot Korean bitches while he was there.
The Obama Administration was pretty much up Bill's ass, mostly because they didn't want him to even think about mentioning Nukes around Kim Jong Il. |

Why would he feel useless? A) The reporters were doing actual investigative reporting, on the scene, about stories that matter, for Gore's CurrentTV. A far cry from anything the usual mass media can claim. B) The pre-negotiations between the White House and Korea for who to send were brokered by Gore. (It was Korea that picked Bill from a list of options provided by WH.) C) It was Gore that called Bill and got him to do it, with the condition the WH didn't object.
Lots of wins with this story. I don't see any reason for Gore to feel useless. To the contrary, I'd say he has displayed considerable influence for someone not even in politics. |
