visiting chicago in 2 weeks, need help

I am planning a trip to chicago from the 20th to the 23rd. I just have a few questions
What are should I stay in for hotels, that is next to everything.
What clubs should I visit, and who might be playing that weekend?
What are good attractions and restaurants to visit?

I checked the events thread and saw stuff pretty much only on the weekends...any place that's worth going to during the week??? |

Thursday nights at Spy are a win - feel like Friday or Saturday nights at other places. |
