I'm against abortion-as-birth-control on principle, but given that there are a multitude of scenarios in which abortion can be fully justified, I am vehemently against legislation preventing it. Ultimately, the individual (woman) has a choice and whether I agree with the outcome of that choice or not, her ability to make it is vital.

I'm for it being legal until the baby is capable of surviving on it's own without life support. I think up to the 7-ish month mark it should be acceptable..but beyond that, it could definitely be considered murder. 7 months is plenty of time for a woman to decide whether or not she wants to be a mom.. Waiting until the baby is fully developed (with working heart, lungs, and brain) before aborting it is just irresponsible.

.........and in this case at that age she is unfit to care for the child so abortion or adoption. I knew someone with a similar situation, the girl ended up being too scared to have the abortion so he mom pussied out and let her have the baby and now they are poor and all living all ed up. Thats no condition to raise a child.

The difference here in the U.S. is that Constitutionally, "...all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness."

The right doesn't come from "the State", technically, and what constituties as "a life" is far from being a black and white issue... which is where all the damn debate comes from. Both sides have good points.

That being said I'm pro-choice and agree with Lebez that abortions should not be allowed as matters of convenience/birth control. Everything is a "situation" and you gotta take each person's circumstances on an individual basis. Yes it's true... I am not married to all Conservative principles. ;)
