TOTA’s.

I’ll be in TO September 6th-12th. Looks like we’ll be hitting up LoL unless someone has a better suggestion? We’re staying at the Delta Chelsea. Can anyone recommend bars/restaurants/pubs worthy of checking out in the area. Where can I purchase a weekly TTC pass downtown? We’ll probably hit up the TIFF if we can get tickets? Any recommendations of what the locals like would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance..
Yohan
LoL lineups sucks, but the Guv is worth a visit if you haven't been there

you can get a weekly pass at any subway station

also keep your eye on the events forum link @ the top of the Toronto Forum to see any other parties/djs that interest you... that's usually the best way :)

Salad King for Thai at Yonge & Gould (just South of you) is right by the Delta. Damn fine food.

In terms of pubs, there are literally about 100 in walking distance from your hotel, but Pogue Mahone on College (straight up the hill on Yonge, left on College) will provide you with all your pub & beer needs, & their prime rib burger is mighty tasty.

For something a little less "corporate" go right on College (which becomes Carlton on the other side of Yonge) & walk past Maple Leaf Gardens to Church. Turn left & cross the street & go to Hair of the Dog. Great food, great service. Nice patio.

Another local favourite of mine is C'est What. That's a bit of a hike as it's on Front Street at Church, but they've got roughly 35 micro-breweries on tap, a great scotch list, and consistently good food. Good prices too.

and then when you're sick of food and booze, there are a few excuses for strip joints along yonge

Went in 05-06 when Digweed & Deep Dish played. I believe AvB played that night also? I remember High Contrast being in the dnb room.

Chinatown at the Dundas - Spadina intersection. Oh and if you can't get to the Salad King (which I recommend), try the Spring Rolls across from Ryerson University/Eaton's Centre downtown. Just get off at Dundas subway station and ask someone where it is, they will know. Be sure to walk around the Eaton's Centre for shopping.
