Having stopped the likes of Nic Fanciulli and Paul Woolford in their tracks with his work for Audiofly’s highly respected Supernature label, Pedramovich is currently enjoying a growing reputation for producing high end electronic music that spans the range from deep to full on tech.
Sidetracked kicks off the EP in fine style. Combining tech house rhythms with a heavy wall of serious bass that snarl and growl from behind the swinging beats. Very much of the moment with the contrast between clean, classic house ingredients and darker elements this is a bit of a gem.
Round The Corner showcases Pedramovich’s lighter side with a gently swaying percussive cut that makes the most of some cleverly constructed harmonic keys to create a grooving but melodic track that creates its progresses through a succession of neatly arranged twists and turns.
Ashes continues the dark tribal feel of the EP with its ethnic flavours and deep, shifting bassline. Simply constructed and built to create impact from the layers of repetitive loops, variety is provided by short, sharp licks of piano / organ keys that momentarily lift the mood out of darkness
Rounding off the EP is the dark horse that is Adaptor. Starting off as deep mood setter full of warmth and uplifting vibes, the mood shifts mid-track to a more stripped back tribal groove before plunging headlong into a mind-melting finale of twisted synths, distorted vocals and acidic bleeps.
