He's a DRUG DEALER. He got caught red-handed, took a bunch of people down with him, from the article, and people are praising him like Jesus dying for your sins.

Excuse me for not being sympathetic.

wheres the proof i was a drug dealer? oh wait there is none..i got caught selling NOTHING..i pleaded to the top charge of possesion with intent to distribute..i took no1 down with me..they took themselves down..i never put a gun to any1s head..half of them asked me to do it and the other half were friends who wanted in... and people thing i "employed " people..i had a serious serious drug problem and going to jail is not the answer..3 weeks ago i was ready to do my 3.5 year bid..no questions asked..the program i am trying to get into is for first time offenders and non violent offenders with substance abuse problems..i cannot wait to get into this program to get into shape,go back to school, and deal with my substance abuse problem on probably the highest level you can deal with it

Dont air your personal crap on the message board, he wouldn't have anything to worry about.

I should send this thread to the judge and DA.

wow, maturity at its finest. Seems to me you are airing more of his personal then he is, and even threatening to send a (farewell thread??) to the DA. Let him say his good bye's and leave it at that. I dont think there is anything wrong with gerard doing that, seeing as 90% of the people on here know him, are concerned for him, and wish him luck in serving for something he is well-aware of doing. He doesnt need you to come in and remind him of what he did, its just unnecessary.

G: worry about yourself, from this point on you will always get people that will stay bad stuff behind your back or to your face. You know what you is needed to get back on track, and it seems your on that train.
Stick with the people that have your back, and dont worry about anyone else. I wish you all the best, and good luck mate.

noone is asking for you sympathy. people are asking you not to put down a good friend. the difference between G and most other young guys is he got caught. it's really that simple. i wasn't doing on the same level when i was his age, but i did stuff that could easily put me away for more than a year. It doesn't make me a better person because i didn't get caught. So it's probably a good idea not to post things that 95% of the people on this board will find objectionable. keep it to yourself.

Twenty-two Staten Island residents were arrested and are facing felony charges in connection with a prescription scam that involved presenting fraudulently obtained prescriptions for oxycodone at borough pharmacies.

The defendants, alleged to have obtained a combined total of 20,700 oxycodone pills, tried to fill the scripts at 14 drug stores. The pills have a street value of over $400,000.

One of the defendants -- Gerard Lavelle, 21, of Martling Avenue in West Brighton -- obtained a prescription pad belonging to his step-father, who works as a physician's assistant at Staten Island University Hospital in Prince's Bay, authorities say.

Let's be honest, he didn't just get caught, he was the ring leader.

Enjoy your time bro!
We're all here thinkin of ya!!!

I am reading this all for the first time, as a newb, I find Paulie a total dbag. Way to go posting someone's IRL info. Who the do you think you are?

G, I wish you well. I have had a lot of friends go through the same thing. As long as you hold your head, don't try and start , and mind your own business, you'll be fine. Have as much fun as you can before so your time will be like sleeping off a hangover. I'm going to PM you something.

again - so ing what? if you ever had a prescription drug and you gave it or sold it to a friend you committed a felony. if you ever took a prescription drug from your parents medicine cabinet you committed a crime. if you ever purchased marijuana, cocaine, or ecstacy you committed a misdemeanor or perhaps a felony depending on the weight. I'm sure someone could pick apart your past and find something worse than the crime committed by G, which in the view of most people, is a victimless crime. Get over your self-righteous attitude and be a little less abrasive.
