It will sell out cuz he is huge. And it will be the first and last time any of those people go there. Unless they have more shows with this kind of music. They just had Shiny Toy Guns there which is a band that is big in the pop/emo/punk scene.... Hmmm
If it makes money for Ruby Skye, and doesn't take the place of any EDM shows, and keeps Ruby open and bring in big names.... F*CK YES! |

can't blame an artist for experimenting. true mark of an artist. :)
actually has he had any experience at all with house music? |

Yes, he was in some film in australia and at night when they weren't on set he wanted to gout. When he asked them "where is a hip hop club then?" they kind of laughed and said "hip hops dead, mate" and took him out to electro-house clubs, which is where he got the idea.
So yes, he is experimenting, but IMO it's because the writing is on the wall for hip-pop.
He's been trying to diversify for a while now; early last year I worked on a film (score) project he was involved with, and he was contributing a small portion of the score. |

He actually played a short mini-set in Miami at the Me I'm Famous party...pretty prime time opportunity. His mixing was fine and tracks were more entirely house, though that was during the conference, I would not necessarily expect that when he plays Ruby Skye based on the way they're hyping the show.

Will I Am was totally at Fabulous Festival last year in Vegas so he's been paying attention to the scene.
I was actually wondering why he was there and now it makes sense. |

makes me think of Tommy Lee, P.Diddy, Lindsey Lohan and all the other celebs who are trying to jump on it. He'll do it for a couple of months, maybe a couple of years and thats it.
There are those of us who jump in to the scene and there are those of us who do it for life. What do you think Will.I.Am will be choosing? |

i think it's an experiment for him, so we'll see how he feels about it after some time. i dont think he's just screwing around, i think he's trying for real. |
