Here is a website called 8th notes.com it is a great interactive site aimed at helping people at all levels of experience on various instrument types along with, audio segments to each section. Plus free lessons - and sheet music for practice.
In the percussion section it has a drum riff generator [which allows you to compose a sample], or in piano section there is everything you need to understand scales & chords etc and more. This site provides information for just about every instrument type you can think of - enjoy.

nice, yeah i have been learning the piano for adults by Bastien (its focus is on getting both hands working as soon as possible). I did look for it on the net when that thread was running with relations to piano. but its different to the one i have so left it.
But that 8th note site really is good for people learning and starting out!
All the best with it John |
