Help get a very sick little boy a new kitchen... (pg. 2)

Do they not understand that the second they bring ANY food into the kitchen it will no longer be sterile? Are they going treat the kitchen like an OR? Because the notion of a sterile kitchen is sort of dumb.

Aseptic would have been a more appropriate word to use.

can't they just clean thoroughly their existing kitchen?

Just take out the word "sterile" from the original post, and it'll make a lot more sense.

Who knows? I just copied and pasted. Does it really hurt to get them a new kitchen though?

I took the word sterile out of the title.

this isn't meant to be mean but the sick child thing will get a lot of votes....they don't need a sterile or new kitchen because their child is sick. They wanted a new kitchen but had to spend money on medical bills and now they can't afford a new kitchen.

well they just moved to a new home in May - so clearly the kitchen IS new
if the disease has nothing to do with kitchen being new/clean, then it's not fair that they're exploiting their son's sickness like that - judging by the pics their kitchen looks pretty damn new as it is

won't be voting again..
English Rachel
It says they need a very clean/sterile kitchen to prepare his specialized formula and intravenous nutrition...

And if you look at all 3 pics, they DO need a new kitchen.

A new house doesn't mean a new kitchen, my new house is 100 years old!
FunkyCrew
sorry Rachel - see Jennie's reply

if they said that they want a free new kitchen just because their renovation money they saved was used for his hospital bills - fine, but they're stressing it's because of his disease they need a new kitchen - not the same thing...

That's exactly it--exploitation. 'Oh, won't you please feel sad for our son's sickness. Life has been so hard over the past couple months. But, hey, nothing a new kitchen can't solve!'

What a bunch of low-lives.

lol. what's the big deal. from what i understand. they are a couple that have a kid. their kid got sick. they found out that the kid needs special care. they know their kitchen is inadequate. they plan to renovate their kitchen. they have some money saved up. ooooops. not all the treatment costs are covered. their savings disappear. they don't have money now to fix kitchen so they enter a contest.

no need to always be skeptical nellies and putting people down.

just ing vote. why does everything with you people have to be difficult.

you don't even need to sign in for sakes.
