Pioneer 200's, 400's or 800's?

I'm looking to upgrade my current CDJ's - 2 Axis 9's as i'm having so many problems with the buffers and the tunes randomnly skipping on me.

I can't really afford a pair of 1000's but have been looking at the 800's. I've actually used them before and have to say they are pretty awesome but i've heard you can have issues with the platter?

Does anyone have any feedback on 200's, 400's and 800's? Are their any inherent problems with them? I've just found out the Numark's I'm using are beset with problems and I want to do my homework on any upgrade. I've read some reviews online but any feedback would be great.

Also does anyone use Denons? Are they any good?

Cheers,
Jarvmeister
Just go for the 800s and be done with it.......

I'd either hold out a little while longer and see what Pioneer is releasing as far as cdjs go.

But if you absolutely need something right now, I'd go with 400's.

Whatever Pioneer might release won't be cheaper than the 1000's, so there's no point in waiting.

Go for the 800's.

Well, the new ones might not be cheaper than the 1000MK3s, but they would make the MK3 "obsolete" and in turn push down the price of 800s, 400s, and 200s.

Still, CDJ 800s are going around $700 on Amazon, only about $100 more than the 400s. Definitely the best bang for the buck.

I dunno why everyone would go with the 800's, is it just the jog dial that settles it for you all?

400's have more functionality as far as media hookups and better pitch ratio (though 0.05 is fine). And they have vinyl mode too, though it is probably nearly worthless on that jog dial, it's still there :p

Yeah, I just like the feel of the 800s more, and went with those since the price difference is so small. The buttons on the 400 seem like they're kind of crammed together into a small space...and I dunno, I enjoy my big jog wheel.

I probably need to log more hours into the 800's/1000's jog wheel. For some reason I prefer the smaller jog when I'm on cdj mode. Vinyl mode though, I can't see how that'd be comfortable on a small jog.

Yeah I noticed that the price of the 400's and 800's is only about £100 to £150 difference. I didn't know much about the 400's but I'll be honest the videos and demo's I've seen look really good.

I've been using small Jog wheel on the Axis 9 so kinda used to it. I'm still unsure but I think i'm probably just as well paying a bit extra and going with the 800's.
