Hello,
I am going to Vegas for my 24th birthday. It will be my first time there!! I cam looking at some of these party packages with transportation and no cover or line at some of the clubs.
What clubs should I hit and which ones should I stay clear from?
I will be going from Thurs(11th)-Sunday(13th) in September.
Suggestions...
Thanks! |

The big main club there is Rain @ the palms (perfecto).
The crowd is really good there and have to say, even though my trance days are a little behind me now, Oakenfold actually played very well and not cheesey at all. Met loads of great people, and Jordan Stevens who is one of the DJ's there regularly posts on here.
Highly recommended.
I kind hated all the other clubs that I visited (tryst, tao, etc) - don;t get me wrong they look stunning, but the music at the beginning of the night is great (good house/progressive) but as soon as it gets going they switch to top 40 hip-pop and (c)rap. |

Ah man, only if you were going the weekend before then you'd be set!
That said, Oakenfold has his Perfecto night every Saturday at RAIN at the Palms.
For Sept 12, it says "Paul Oakenfold + America's Best DJ"
Peeps on here who have gone to see him say Oakey has been playing really well in Vegas...
And I'm guessing "America's Best DJ" is the DJ Times America's Best DJ winner (which hasn't been annonced yet). Voting just ended a week ago.
So it's Oakey + prob one of these (the Top 10, in no particular order I think, two days before voting end)....
DJ Qbert
Cedric Gervais
Kaskade
DJ Shadow
Danny Tenaglia
Scotty Boy
DJ Enferno
Steve Porter
Bad Boy Bill

I heard Wet Republic is good. I met one of the managers last time I was in Vegas after a day at Rehab at the Hard Rock Hotel. I enjoyed Rehab and he was telling me that Wet Republic was going to be a pool party similar to Rehab but with better DJs and a better crowd. Has anyone been? I'm going to be staying at the MGM over Labor Day Weekend so I will be checking out Deadmau5 and Chris Lake with some of the other events there. |

I kno the weekend before has a great line -up. But will also be very crowded!
That night will be like the closing ceremony for America's best DJ.
So I am thinking that rain is a must.
I may hit LAX on Thursday. And hop around a bit on Sat and end up at Rain. |

Not sure about the weekend you are going to be there... there doesn't seem to be any information here:
http://www.wantickets.com/affiliates/events.asp?id=719
or here...
http://www.mgmgrand.com/nightlife/wet-republic.aspx
... but Labor Day it looks like it is $75 if you buy tickets or comp if you have a room at the MGM.
The man to talk to about house music clubs in Las Vegas in Dave "Dave-O" Garcia. He was featured in the Las Vegas Weekly "Most Beautiful People."

I stayed in Vegas with Dave-O last year and he is an excellent host. I would hit him up on Facebook or MySpace and let him know you are coming into town and looking for something to do. |

if you dont wanna pay cover or wait in line....you are gonna have to get a table or have 3-6 really hot girls with you. if not, then expect to wait in mile-long lines.
any clubs will be good on weekends but if you prefer a list...
xs (encore)
tryst (wynn)
blush (wynn)
the bank (bellagio)
