Armin vs Ferry and Tiesto... (pg. 2)

Well, I'd say Tiesto is the best producer by a hair over Ferry and by a decent number of paces over Armin...but Armin is the best remixer and right now is my favourite DJ of the 3 as well.

I agree that all three of these guys are #1 calibre though, *it is* a shame that all of them haven't worked together on a project (though I suppose the Armin remix of Gouryella - Gouryella is sort of the same...)

after hearing The Sound of Goodbye, Communication, and Sunburn I would have to say that I dont think Armin is a great producer at all. Tiesto is only a hair better though. They're both decent DJs but Im not too keen on their productions.

They are all apples in the same basket(some green some red). Its hard to determine who is better cause they are all great in their own way.:toocool:

haha I think as long as you find a DJ who's style of spinning/producing you love, thats the important thing - for me, thats definitely PvD! I dont hate Armin or anything, but his productions just dont give me that "warm fuzzy" feeling inside that I love ;)

I heard PVD a while ago and always considered him commercial since all I heard by him was For An Angel (classic :D) and We Are Alive (good cheese :D). I dunno why I perceived him as commercial since I know he's not but I did at the time and now withing the last few months I've been downloading all his livesets and tunes cause he's amazing :D. But I tend to like everything a little bit. I can say I like one song by pretty much everyone but there aren't too many that I absolutely love :D.

I dont know how you lot can say Tiesto has a nice personality, have some of you even met him?! Personally i think hes a twat, ive personally never spoken to him but some of my mates have and hes always really blunt. Apparently hes also really big headed but too be honest i think many people would be in the same situation as him!

Ferry on the other hand, such an amazingly nice bloke. One time at Passion went up to the dj booth with a mate who had made a cd for him of all Ferry's tunes and was like oh cheers thats really cool, il listen to it in the car to london. Then another mate asked him to sign the back of his shirt real large and did it for him. Hes never too busy to sign stuff and his tune selection and mixing of late have been flawless, hes just so consistent

Az, if you read this you might remember that, me and a mate met you in the toilets(nothing dodgy!) at Passions 7th, you had a system f t shirt on and he had a tsunami t shirt on with Ferrys sig huge across the back.

Personally I think that a DJ's personality is as important as his DJ skills. I really can't see myself liking a DJ whos a real , it's good to hear that the ones I like aren't complete dips.

I like Ferry just a wee bit more than the other 2 mostly because, as was mentioned before, he plays the melodic stuff, which I love. Tiesto's In my Memory cd was amazing though
