unfortunatley vegans will evolve towards apes again. The high protein content found in meat is what lead to our brain developement.

There are plenty of plant sources of protein.

obviously it was a joke. IT would take thousands and thousands of years to see any evolutionary change in humans. We would also have to have siginificant selection presures to trigger that. Do you think w'ell actually be around in 50,000 years?

you cannot neglect the fact that if our ancestors didn't eat meat 2.5 million years ago our branch off to the homo genus from australopithecus would not have diverged very far. We would still be low in the food chain with any other animals who spend 90 % of their wake hours eating loads of grass and plants to meet their daily nutritional requirements.

I guess. meat has about 5x higher protein density than beans for instance

No, no it wasn't. Also, we've had this discussion before, and no, it doesn't take thousands of years to see changes. Earlobes.

So why didn't lions and jaguars and hyenas and sharks and all the other meat-eaters evolve intelligent brains?

ill continue this debate with you tomorrow as i have to be up in 5 hours. Unless someone else can fill in my shoes on this position.

there are tons of articles published on this content. Sure eugenics can create change in a sparse amount of time, but when we are dealing with natural selection it tends to take thousands of years to see "CONSISTANT" change.

Lions are smart. Find me any herbivore with superior intelligence to a carnivore of the same phylum.

To hunt you have to outwit your prey. Do not forget that.

I don't understand how anyone can eat/drink anything other than soup when hung over. Soup is the way to go.

Reminds me of a Simpson's quote

Lisa: Oh, the earth is the best! That's why I'm a vegetarian.
Jesse: Heh. Well, that's a start.
Lisa: Uh, well, I was thinking of going vegan.
Jesse: I'm a level 5 vegan -- I won't eat anything that casts a shadow.
