REVIEW : IBIZA Beach Club 2009

Wow!!!
Arrived at 12h45 and left at 22h35....
What a day :)
Weather :
15/10
Really hot day, sun all the day, a little breeze at some time... a perfect day
Parking :
10/10
Arrived early so parking was not that packed at that time... really fast to get into the beach even with a lot of people. But when I left, I saw some car park not far from the Principal Road lolll
Security :
8/10
I saw maybe a dozen of security... not that much! a lot of thing I would say that would not be happen if there were a few more!
Music :
7/10
Love the final part of Teranova and a little bit of Gold... King Louis and Etienne... wow!! they are insane together... was impress!! but has usual, they cut the music level soo much that there were missing a little thing...
People :
Before 17pm : 10/10
A lot of nice person, a lot of people.... everyone happy! smiling... having fun... nothing to say
After 17pm : -15/10
What the happen?? what does people took during the day?? I saw about 10 fights.... security guys were running from one side to the other!! I was with my girlfriend and some friends... what happen with the respect for girls???... a lot of displease drunk guy! overdrunk... drugs... wow!!! :conf: a few friends had so a bad experience! it was kind of ridiculous... or frustated... too bad wow
Can't believe to see guys doing this!
We had so much during the day... great day overall!

Nice party, finally they decided to change the setup and deco..
The Good: perfect weather, sprinkler was working this year, dj booth closer to the crowd, good music (i really like the manzone & strong set), beautiful people, new setup...ive seen enough trapezist int the last years.
The Bad: lots of traffic (police from town doesnt seem to understand every year they should do the circulation) ,too many people for this little place, lots of young teen civic rider prada sunglasses lookin like...(maybe im getting to old)

Vraiment une belle journée, beau temps, superbe musique ...
Manquait de son par example, et comme Nick dit, après 17h00 il y avait des batailles un peu partout ... les ings juice monkeys savent pas boire ou ils ont des choses à ce prouver, mais tu vas là pour te faire du fun !!! |

exactement ce que je disais dans mon post juste avant....des jeune ado qui lancais des bouteilles de biere par le fenetre sur lautoroute...un autre vraiment trop soul yetais meme pas 1h pm qui vien pogner le cul a ma blonde...du monde qui veux se battre...tout ca cest tellement pas le vibe du beachclub en temps normale..la grande classe quoi.. |

i agree with Nick on everything was an awesome day in all, add to this that arcadio did impress me, he delivered quite a nice set to open the day :)
but turned out ugly for me... what seemed to be a contusion on my foot last night is in fact 3 broken toes. So now i can't dance for a month :(
malek's cd to come back home was quite enjoyable thanks buddy :) |

great music by all the canadians but the Cube Guys were a bit flat and fluffy.
Beach Club sold too many passes and that is another reason why so many fights. Hot weather and crowds and that can happen.
Please have David Guetta next year!

DJs:
I loved Thomas Gold, Cube Guys, Etienne & Louis! Props to the last two names I mentioned! Really too bad they turned down the music at the end of Cube Guys. Definitely lacked a certain punch near the end!
I didn't like Nick Terranova -> WAYYYYYY too many breakdowns and not enough drops, but whatever, at least his style of music fit the night.
Decor:
Very cool. Very creative to have the waterfall behind the DJ booth. Lights were nice at night. The live band and the fire show was nifty too.
Crowd:
Typical Beach Club crowd but whatever. Other than the ugly rippers, pros, and the juice heads the crowd was nice. DEFINITELY a lot of s though. Some BEAUTIFUL girls. Stay tuned for the footage. ;)
The problems:
1) Parking...
2) Making entrances big enough for 1 person at a time to leave and enter when there's over 5, 000 people present... does this make sense? Or are they just trying to discourage people from drinking in their cars?
3) Two big guys getting dragged through the house sides dance floor full of blood... I blame the hip hop room...
4) Circulation was really bad in general, worst I've ever seen at Beach Club. I don't think it was meant to support this many people. No lights what so ever on the Beach when the sun went down. Dangerous? Hell ya! I spoke to a bouncer and he said him and all his colleagues were very uncomfortable with the whole situation.
Even with all the negatives I'd still give it a 9/10. I really enjoyed my day. Organizers seem to have discovered the perfect formula to get people out and partying at Beach Club. I've never seen that many people so good job!
Footage looks great too. Hang tight for the release. :) |
