Now for my review of Bound by Sound’s Presents LÜTZENKIRCHEN & ANTHONY ATTALLA.

Like Jill said we were the first people to show up! And we stayed till close obviously!

It was a lot of fun to slowly watch people showing up saying wtf no one is here yet…. It did slowly pick up and im glad it wasn’t rammed like Canada day it had a really good vibe.

So Ovi M’s set was a lot of fun … to bad I didn’t want to burn all my energy so it resulted in drinking a few beers while “sitting and dancing” at the same time lol. He did play one of my favorite tracks

I Go Deep - Late Night Turf Guy

Over all it was a fun set…

Up next was MATT HERDMAN – holy …. I had little to low expectations and who ever had missed him play … boo you … it was great …he needs to come back very soon and often …I must say he is very talented and one of my favorite sets of the night …. He made a fan of me!

Manzone and Strong ….

Fabs portion I felt was great the energy started to pick up as people came in…. however Joe defiantly brought it back down im sorry to say.

Carlo Lio was certainly not as good as the night before which was a disappointment it was a fun set and he brought up the energy and getting ready for Anthony Attalla. I guess you cant bang out hard all the time which is fine … but for me I it wasn’t there ….

Anthony Attalla… I generally really enjoy his sets especially on Canada day. However I felt it was a lot more sloppy then usual… long pauses before the drop but the crowd loved it …and it looked like he did as well …. It was a fairly repetitive set a lot of it sounded the same.

LÜTZENKIRCHEN came on… and everyone was ready! And it was everything I wanted minus one track I wanted to hear. Lots of space to dance and a great set. I really hope he got a god impression of Toronto and comes back soon … anyone who missed this …. Truly missed the best set of the weekend IMO. The cell phone interruption thing I love his set up is amazing … and sigh when it was over everone just wanted one last track and security was not letting it happen so he got down and met his fans which was really nice …

Over all a great event … I hope this continues happening … my only suggestion is PLEASE clean up the vomit, especially when its on top of the sub and just flooding the place with a wretched smell ….

Also it was great to be able to talk to many TA’s and meet so many new ones…

Cheers to everyone who wished me a happy birthday … it means a lot …

So again thanks to everyone who was apart of the night … hopefully I will se you all soon

Anas Attia thanks again no worries friend its all good … thanks for the well wishes

PS. PERFECT WEATHR FOR THIS EVENT ☺

Great party! Had a fun time, so glad the weather cleared up. Fantastic meeting alot of you and the bound by sound crew... Nice day and dope tunes! Lutz was great and an AWESOME dude too, really nice and fun to hang out with.

I loved the day-rave and hope there is more!

Didn't make it to Tryst after, ended up being to tired and stayed drinking in the hotel... lol

Fun day, didn't get home till Monday evening, slept for a solid 16hours! YES!

Thanks to everyone who threw the party and everyone who attended!

Only decided to come down after finally seeing the sun come around 7, but very glad I did! Bangin' sets from Attalla and Kirchen. Danced with the fun crowd and was able to safely wear white runners for the first time at Skybar without fear of trampling.
Wish it would have gone on till sunrise though...felt too weird leaving Skybar at night.

I agree with a lot of what you said in your review.

When I got to Skybar after the Demi cruise, Manzone was on, and I also had a hard time getting into his part of the set. It didn't do much for me.

Did Carlo come on before Anthony? wow, i have no recollection of his set whatsoever if he did, and i was right beside the booth. hmmmm Sorry Carlo!

Thank god for Anthony Attalla! At this point I already knew there was no way i was going to make it to Lutzenkirchen's set (i'm a pathetic partier these days). I was DONE post cruise. But, at least the $25 cover i paid didn't go to complete waste. AA's set was the only one that got me going during the time that i was there. He also got the rest of the crowd going too. Everyone had been pretty quiet up until that point. I think for the most part everyone was just chatting, drinking, and chillin' in the sun. Finally the music took the forefront! yay!

And ya, the vomit situation was ridiculous. I can't believe they left that there. The smell was overwhelming, all over Skybar. You couldn't escape it! AA made a comment about it as well....I don't think he was too impressed either! Oh, the royal treatment... LOL

I'm disappointed that I didn't last until Lutzenkirchen though. The Demi cruise was such a bust, I wish i had ONLY gone to Skybar on Sunday. FAIL :(

Yep, there were definitely at least 3 or 4 very noticable sloppy transitions/mixes between tunes. But like I said, the last 30 mins or so were sick!

AA killin' it :)

Really glad that I went, even though I was pretty tired after a marathon weekend.

Got there by 8, the main part of Skybar was full but still plenty of space to move around. Didn't really pay much attention to the dj before Lutzenkirchen but quite enjoyed taking in the amazing views of the city at sunset from that vantage point.

Lutzenkirchen came on from 9:30-11pm and he really impressed me. Some of the most ass-shaking, bassline heavy, just downright fun techno I've ever heard. I wasn't planning on dancing but not doing so was impossible in light of all the great tracks he dropped. He delivered a very smooth and assured live PA set that I wish could have gone later.

He seems like a really nice guy, he came forward to talk to his fans after he was finished. Some friends spoke with him before his set and they said he was quite friendly and gracious as well.

Really hope someone can bring him back soon to do a proper (and longer) set in front of a lot of fans. Oh, and a venue that doesn't reek of puke would be nice too.

p.s. nice to see lockedgroove and DJ Mach X, hope your crew enjoyed the rest of the night's activites!

Nice seeing you too! As for the rest of the nights activities... well an empty 40 of vodka, a sleepless night of techno-chatter and a 24hr sleep once I hit Windsor says it best!

I don't remember who was looking for a set and I don't feel like searching the thread, I just torrented one from mininova.org and it's bloody fantastic!

Live at Rotte Sonne Club Munchen 27 June 2009

and I feel stupid asking, but what does the PA in Live PA set stand for :P

~C~ - sic vid of AA. Congrats to him on the official launch of his label later that week too.

Had the pleasure of interviewing Lutzen & Anthony the next day--wicked times indeed; both uniquely talented peeps. And learning about Lutzenkirchen's LivePA setup was absolutely awesome.
