After doing the comparison, the Sony is just a bit better IMO.
In the end, I would go to the store, actually look at them, and see which one you like better. Also, make sure to use the actual remotes, and menu's, since you will be living with the TV for a long time. There isn't a whole lot of diff, so choose the one you like USING the best.
I am not a huge fan of the Sharpe interfaces, menus, and so. I don't have too much experience with newer Sony's. I just drool over them in the store. |

I'm in the same boat here kinda....
looking to get a new TV, wanting to spend around $1000, & would like it to be around 32".....
anyone has any suggestions what I should be looking at???
Edit: not to concerned about it being 1080 over 720, as I'm only going to be using it to watch TV occasionally, not into gaming or bluray so much. Also want it to be a brand name, not some no name shyteee |

I have a Sharp Aquos and it's great!
I also had a Sony Bravia a couple years ago and it was ok, although I did need to get the first replaced because it had issues... |

| I have a samsung myself but if I did not get that, I would have bought the sharp. |

Wow Sharp is definitely dominating here.
I think I will go to the store and compare the two in terms of the look, remote, menu, etc...how Bobby suggested. For now, it definitely seems like a sharp. One of the things that was attracting me to SONY was the deal that they had for just over a grand, where you could also get a link module DVD player...but I wonder if I could buy that separately even if I go with Sharp. Can these two brands work together?

| Just go to Costco. You don't like it within 3 months? They'll give you your money back. No hassles. |
