Okay, the following is an attempt to set aside personal biases and list the albums I believe to combine historical importance, popularity and critical acclaim in the last twenty years, with only one selection per artist:

Adam F - Colours
Air - Moon Safari
Aphex Twin - Selected Ambient Works II
Autechre - Tri Repartae
Boards Of Canada - Music Has The Right To Children
BT - This Binary Universe
Burial - Untrue
Chicane - Far From The Maddening Crowds
Daft Punk - Homework
The Future Sound Of London - Lifeforms
Global Communication - 76:14
Goldie - Timeless
Leftfield - Leftism
LSG - Into Deep
Massive Attack - Blue Lines
Nightmares On Wax - Smoker's Delight
The Orb - The Orb's Adventures Beyond The Ultraworld
Orbital - Brown Album
Plastikman - Sheet One
The Prodigy - Music For The Jilted Generation
Roni Size & Reprazent - New Forms
DJ Shadow - Endtroducing
Underworld - Dubnobasswithmyheadman
UNKLE - Psyence Fiction
Vitalic - OK Cowboy

Not necessarily my personal list of favourite albums, but certainly a list of "big" albums every fan of dance music should be familiar with, with some I've doubtlessly forgotten.
Paradox Lost
I would recommend Ulrich Schnauss' "A Strangely Isolated Place" and "Far Away Trains Passing By" as some pretty essential, solid listening (though the jury's still out on "Goodbye" for me).

Also:

M83- Before the Dawn Heals Us

Yeh.
Domesticated
This thread makes me remember that no matter how long and hard I might explore, I will miss out on a huge amount of quality electronic music.
