This, as well.

Though my childhood model building experiences were invariably accompanied by a slowly developing sense of anger/sadness upon realizing that my model is going to look nothing like the one on the side of the box, in which case I wound shelving it among the rest of my 'to (never) be completed' projects.

Revel.

i used to draw and make horrible music playing guitar, my friends did drums and harmonica. we did a concert for my parents and neighbors, we had a band called pink floyd. we didn't even know of pink floyd, we just heard my brothers talk about someone called pink floyd, so we went with it

it was not successful

for the most part, i was outside riding my bike and climbing trees and catching tadpoles but i definitely got into a few artsy weird things like the hats and drawing scenerios...like a girl in a dressing room backstage LOL omg i'm gonna try to re-create what i used to draw a lot. i was also good at drawing faces...the kind that a sketch artist would do.

also calvin & hobbes & barbies

Ahhh yes, I still have every single book.

I used to read and draw a lot when I was a kid, sadly I've slipped on both fronts.

I mainly had a thing for planes at the time, so I never really got into cars and trains.

So in other words, I made a bunch of primer fuselages without any landing gear; and if the decals were attached to anything, it was to my wet fingers.

You know that you've more or less given up on making a decent model when you look at all the small parts you can't manage to make stick as "extra parts you don't really need"- you know, insignificant embellishments like wings and propellers.

Ah, what a trip down some of memory lane's more dark corridors.

yea drawing was a big thing for me. i have several artists in my family. one is a professional but my nana and even my mom are great at water colors and pencil drawings of the beach or whatever is in front of them.

lol my mom told me one time she came home from a jimmy hendrix concert on acid and she painted this awesome picture of jimmy hendrix while tripping and even when she was sober, it looked awesome, but her mom threw it out because she found out my mom was taking drugs when she painted it:stongue:
