A bit of a low-key night, but I got to meet a lot of TAs.
Malia

lowski
In2musikk (for the first time)
yojirave (for the first time)
Loc (I introduced myself for the first time, although we have talked in the past) - thanks for the drink :)
I also had a nice discussion with Norin (Bruce) about mixing software.
I saw DJ Tw33k for a little bit. He definitely had some strong, very danceable beats early in his set (I was in the main room the rest of the night).
One of these nights I would like to meet you!!

Very nice night, not a lot of crowd but still pretty good. I liked the DJ who opened for JayTech. I think his name is Lenny Ducnao, he did a pretty good job to pump up the crowd.
Just an observation: 'Let There be Light' has become a staple song at Circus, somebody or the other seems to be playing it everytime.

So how was Jaytech? Anyone enjoy his set? Sounded like a mellow night, but Im sure he played some good tracks. Thanks!

A hot night with Jaytech! :D
Earlier in the day, I saw huge clouds behind the mountains that were not actually clouds, but smoke from the fires burning nearby. It felt like a hundred degrees outside, the streets were not that busy, I could actually find parking for a change, and I started wondering if everyone had left LA for the weekend?
Driving to Circus, it was still 80 degrees outside and smoky, so I wasn't sure what to expect...but it was a night filled with great music! I wasn't so into the DJ playing in the main room before Jaytech...I heard this one song, I think it was Minnie Ripperton "Lovin' You" (think la la la la la, la la la la la, da da do do oooooeeeeeeooooooooooooooo) remixed to a House beat followed by Fonzerelli "Moonlight Party." :wtf:
A few minutes later though, Jaytech came on and blew the night away! The music sounded clean and crisp, progressive and intelligent, I loved it! ...a lot of great Anjunabeat vocal trance tracks that are among the best out there.
The DJ following Jaytech (from Mexico, I believe) also played some really nice tracks, though Jaytech's set seemed to have best flow of the night. When the closing DJ dropped Cressida's "6AM," I started dreaming about how they will be right here in just a few weeks, but it's not a dream! Super happy for that, and the awesome music that Circus is pulling in these days.
Thanks to everyone who braved the heat and smoke to come out, dance, and make this such a great night! Lastly, I hope that the fires are soon under control and that not many people lose their homes, or worse, their lives. Most of all, words cannot express my gratitude to the firefighters who are out on the front line day after day in searing heat to make this a safer place for us to live! :)
I had a great night. jaytech played some really nice stuff. i thought he would play more paul keeley, dinka styled tracks but either way i really enjoyed his set. i got there maybe half way through dj universe's set and liked the songs he was playing to. also the dj's in the side room had some nice sounds, especialy the guy who was on before 12:30 he had some really high energy uplifting trancers. so all in all good times. can't wait for kandi and durand next week. i saw kandi play last month and he rocked it bigtime.
does anyone know if the room will be set up like it was when thrillseekers was here?

Major pain getting the vids onto YouTube, keeps losing connection, but here are 3 of the 4 I took...will post the other one up tomorrow:
Oceanlab "Breaking Ties," I think it's the Jaytech and James Grant remix)
Anyone know the track ID for the one below? I thought it was sick!
Above & Beyond "Lonely Girl," not sure which remix, but one of my friends requested it and Jaytech played it! :)
