Loopmasters Essential House Drumworks

Hey TAs,
Just thought I'd share this in case you haven't seen it. Loopmasters recently released Essential House Drumworks - it's a pretty big (1650 samples) collection of drum/percussion one-shots. The beauty of this pack is that (1) it's dirt cheap - only £19.95 (~$33 USD) and (2) NO LOOPS - you're only paying for one-shots.
The quality seems to be decent and, as usual with Loopmasters, you can log in and download a free sample pack. However, I'm pretty sure that at least some of the samples were ripped from other sources because I can hear some minor artifacts, cymbals on top of kicks, etc. Regardless, they sound good and have a great price tag.

yeh, i got this from the loopmasters site last saturday. Not impressed at all to be completely honest.
You may have seen my posts on here regarding the vengeance sample series. This pack from loopmasters seems to be even worse as far as ripping hits from vinyl/mp3? Nearly 80% of the sounds seemed to be ripped from what ive heard so far, and as you say have many artifacts such as reverb cutoffs, cymbals on the kick etc etc. I admit i should have downloaded the demo sounds first. I suggest any of you do the same to avoid dissapointment. |

| Yeah, 90% of them are probably just sliced loops as it is. You might as well get loops and slice them yourself. |

I only use Roland tr-808 and 909 kits off this sample cd!

I think its the best sample cd out there!
If i where only to have one sample cd it whould be that one!
I am going to Put the cd on a usb stick so i can go to any studio and have them sounds! :D |

Even though I hate deadmau5, his sample CD (in terms of quality) is the best I have heard. As for my favorite sample pack, that's a tough question because I have bought so many. I'll list a couple that I really like a lot.
AMBIENT AXE
Bass Infarct (by Swen Weber)
Electrofied
Those are my top three. Electrofied is an insane bang for your buck package. Tons of great trance sounds in it.
I'm salivating for the sample pack below. I need to pull the trigger and get it already but I hate paying over $100 for samples.

I would seriously consider buying this pack instead of FX Revolution:

I know i have mentioned it before but its by far the best sample library i have ever bought in terms of ultra high sound quality and also value for money. It sounds much much better than FX revolution, has more material and its almost half the price. Its a no brainer really. |
