Picking the right movie

I hate picking a movie to go see and the other person doesn't like it or turns out not to be a great movie. Then they hold it over your head like you owe them for making them see it.
I glanced at the reviews and said Inglorious Bastards and D9 got good reviews. She tells me she hates Tarentino. God dam women, whats wrong with you? So I say how about D9 its some sci-fi thing with aliens...
5 minutes in and she wants to walk out. Ok I admit I didn't care for it. Not that it was a bad movie, it got better as it went along but not your typical Hollywood movie with laughs and action.
So now I'm in the dawg house and will probably have to suffer through a chick flick as punishment. :whip: Curse you D9! |

yes. we were going to see inglorious bastards yesterday [friday] but we decided not to bc we're sure it's going to be packed and full of annoying people texting, talking behind you, etc.
when it's a GOOD movie i REALLY want to see, like i still haven't seen star trek, i just wait until it's out on dvd for me to watch in the comfort of my home. |

I got a friend and she won't go for that reason.
D9 is one of those uncomfortable movies, I really wanted to see IB. You know the thing is there certain things you can't make someone like. Movies are one of them.
This is the 2nd movie in a row that blew up in my face. I rented Slumdog Millionaire last weekend. How the heck could that have won best picture. I'm still taking from my friends on that one. |

off with your swine flu.
Just like Yukii said, I hate being in a packed cinema, as there are more people making noise and pissing me off.
There's a cinema local to me that not only does daytime specials on the prices, but it's almost empty all day long (or up until school finishes anyway, which is heaps of time). Good seats, and all people = more enjoyable movie experience :D |

I'm the exact opposite. I like a packed theater. It's like going to a deserted restaurant, bar or club, not good. The whole point is to share the experience of a movie with a group is like going to a football game. You need a crowd. |

What bollocks. The purpose of seeing it at the cinema is to view it on the biggest screen possible, and with the best sound possible. People are just in the way of that experience. |

| I've been annoyed on occasion by rude ghetto ppl but that more of a function of what theater you go to and what type of movie you see. There are drunk annoying ppl at sporting events, clubs and bars. Can't let it bother you. |
