Hi There
Just wondered if you would take the time to give this track a quick listen and any feedback would be great.
Still very much work in progress!
Best wishes
(New version with better mix)

Love it
The only thing i would really work on is the drums. Maybe a little bit more percussion and if it was my song I'd throw in a clap. I can kinda here a drum loop in the background but the kick drum is over powering it.
Other then the drums its a awesome song.
The breakdown is beautiful! |

Got some nice ideas there but as has been stated the perussion is weak at the moment.
Needs a decent high hat combo to give it some drive. It may just be enough to bring out the pers that you have already. I would like to see you being a bit more generous to the bass too as appart from the kick everything else is rolled of a bit too harshly.
Cheers

Second mix is a vast improvement on the first, well done!
I'm a big advocate of some strong rolling percussion to create energy, I think it would enhance this track hugely - just the one off-beat hat isn't enough imo. You've got a nice melody here and good catchy basslines, I think you just need to keep tweaking, fill in some of the blanks - some parts of the break could benefit from some subtle background noises (FX, white noise, low frequency synth stabs etc) to give some atmosphere and depth. A/B your track against a pro track that has a similar feel to what you're going for and adjust your levels accordingly. As was brought up above, stereo widening and panning on certain elements (generally the higher pitched ones) will help give interest, depth and breadth to your track. Have fun with it! |
