Vision presents:

| CARBON.COPY: RJ Pickens & My Boy Elroy |

CARBON.COPY is a new collaborative project between Vision resident RJ Pickens and a talented kid by the name of My Boy Elroy. Separate, these two each have very unique DJ styles. However, they've sat down and discovered that they've got a really nice common dynamic of musical tastes as well. Both are bringing their own unique experience to the table, and contributing it to make this joint musical effort something that will rise above the rest. Why CARBON.COPY? Because these two have a ridiculous amount of things in common -- and sharing the almost identical smashing-good-looks are among those things.

A LITTLE MORE ON RJ --
Hailing from schools of progressive, house, breaks, and incorporating some elements of trance, RJ is no stranger to the politics of dancing. He's been a musician for pretty much all his life, beginning with classical music training in both piano and guitar. As he grew older and more mature, so did his musical tastes. Being from the Chicago area, he's been brought up around house music, but he didn't realize just how powerful dance music could be until he heard his first Chemical Brothers record in 1994. The rest, as they say, is history.

RJ has made himself a nice home in the Chicago electronic music circuitas a resident DJ with VISION Nightclub. He’s also called notable places such as SPYBAR and SOUND-BAR home in the past. As a result, he's gotten to share the decks with the finest of global talent.

The energy-building and crowd-reading abilities that RJ has honed over the years, have lead him to share billings with: Paul Van Dyk, John Digweed, Luke Fair, Armin Van Buuren, Dave Seaman, Second Sun, Markus Schulz, Gabriel & Dresden, Paul Oakenfold, Sandra Collins, KennethThomas, Jerry Bonham, Infected Mushroom, Hernan Cattaneo, Steve Porter, Matt Darey, Taylor, Ferry Corsten, Montana, Matthew Dekay, Benny Benassi, Seb Fontaine, Filo & Peri, 16bit Lolitas, Ben Brown, Blank& Jones, Ricky Ryan (Can Costa), Michael Burian, Angelo Mike, Rank1, Jennifer Rene, Phynn, Sander Van Doorn, and the list continues to grow…

...and he continues to deepen his roots within the flourishing scene in Chicago. He’s beginning to make his mark in the production arena, also. Teaming up with studio partner SKS has recently lead to some floor-stomping tunes, and successful monthly radio show called FloorControl. RJ also has successfully taken the reigns in running the monthly “HOME” residency in the Penthouse at Vision Nightclub, where clubbers happily come to enjoy no-holds-barred throwdowns spun by special guests and by the best local talent Chicago has to offer. He is a regular guest featured on Fusion Radio Chicago, had a highly-acclaimed guest mix featured on ULTRA Satellite Radio (XM80 TheMove), has had some other very notable guest spots on other shows, and was featured on VONYC SESSIONS by a gentleman by the name of Paul Van Dyk.

Keep an eye on this one. He's up to no good, in a great way.

A LITTLE MORE ON MY BOY ELROY --
Elroy (David Arredondo) grew up musically inspired in San Diego, CA.After his departure to Colorado from his hometown, in 2001 (My Boy) Elroy's calling to the city was brought on by Grammy nominated LiquidSoul: Eddie Mills, Phill Ajarapu, and Mars Williams in 2004. Very shortly after a 31 show in 35 day tour with funky inspiration Mama's Cookin, his trip to Chicago began.

Pursuing his dream to represent Chicago House Music and his incomparable Beat Box abilities since Feb.2005 he has quickly been recognized to impress the many at such Chicago locations as the DoubleDoor, Green Dolphin Street, Crobar, Vision Nightclub, Martini Park, Funky Buddha Lounge, Subterranean, The Suite Lounge, Moonshine, The Uptown Lounge, Salud Tequila Lounge, and performs with his band Liquid Soul for such events as the Taste of Chicago, The Windy City Wine Festival and venues like the House of Blues, North by North West, b1 (Moscow) Belly Up (Aspen) and it doesn't stop there!

Elroy has surely been recognized for his jaw-dropping talent to hit our souls with his uniquely collaborative beat box/DJsets. And before you know it, has placed himself before the one and only Massive Attack at the Riviera in Chicago 2006. Opening for some of the legendary greats of our time such as B.B. King, and even Stevie Wonder in Kitzbuhel, Austria 2008, the near-20-years of beat boxing has made his message clear world-wide. With 14 years of experience behind the drum kit and eight years behind the wheels of steel, he does it without comparison. Inspired by many artists including Mike Patton, James Brown, Michael Jackson, Pink Floyd, Les Claypool, Daft Punk, Derrick Carter, Justin Long, Trentemoller, Telefon Tel Aviv, Joey Youngman, Bryan Jones, John Tejada, Sasha, and so many more, you can expect to get everything you're looking for from all sides of the house that jack. A sound that combines funky, deep, dark, and dirty techhouse with nasty mouth beats in transition.

So prepare yourself for smooth blends, hot grooves, and eclectic talents because My Boy Elroy is bringing it to make you stomp!
