Yeke Yeke (Afro Acid Mix) - 2 versions?

Bought this one this week:

http://www.discogs.com/Mory-Kant%C3.../release/118059

And to my surprise it doesnt have the acid elements in it?

Thought it would sound like this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0AUfOaKRayY

But instead of acid elements it has trumpets and other gear? Its labeled as the Afro Acid Remix "Produced by Nick Patrick & Martin Young"

Have to say I'm a little disappointed. Its not bad but I really wanted that acid. Are there 2 versions of the Afro Acid Remix? I thought I was gonna be Richie Hawtin just for a minute but I can't even pull that off :( ;)

Mark, you need to develop your observational skills.

In the video you just just posted, the first thing that video tells you is the catalog number of the track you are looking for. And then the video proceeds to plaster images of the vinyl you are looking for, with tons of images of the label name.

After that, google is your friend.

and the version you are looking for is : http://www.discogs.com/Mory-Kant%C3%A9-Yeke-Yeke/release/468144

NOW GO RICHIE GO!

I hear you but I got a great deal on this (4 dollars)...which is why I didnt buy the green double pack which is selling for 30 beans. If they are both labeled as the afro acid mix I have no reason to believe they would be different

:stongue: Indeed. Any 20+ years old tracks become trendy these days when certain DJs play them.

I remember a thread here about the Afro Acid mix from quite a bit back, after Hawtin had been playing it the first few times in his sets and lots of people were whoring about it like it was a brand new mix of Yeke Yeke.
