No, you can drive to Queens then take the Robert F. Kennedy bridge over to the Island. You can also cross this bridge on foot during the hours of (6am - 9pm) from Manahattan, Queens, and the Bronx or you can take the Water Taxi from Hunts Point in Queens. |

there is a hunts point in queens, too?
eek!...please everyone, do NOT go to hunts point in the bronx (southern most point in the BX).

Keep Left on the GCP

Take the exit toward MANHATTAN/RANDALLS-WARDS IS/DOWNING STADIUM.
Stay STRAIGHT to go onto ROBERT F KENNEDY BRIDGE (Portions toll).
Take the ramp toward RANDALLS IS/DOWNING STADIUM/WARDS IS.
